Youth Resources Seeking Nominations for Youth of the Year

Youth Resources is currently seeking nominations for the 2022 Youth of the Year.

YR strives to empower youth to make a positive difference within our society through understanding and action based on effective and compassionate leadership and civic engagement. As a part of that mission, we love to recognize the youth in our community who are impacting their schools and organizations with volunteerism, leadership and service to others. To honor those students, Youth Resources will name a Youth of the Year based off the recommendations of adults in the community.

Students ages 5-18 are eligible for nomination for Youth of the Year. The winner will be announced at YR’s annual Hall of Fame Celebration on April 28, 2022. Students do not have to be involved with Youth Resources to be nominated.

Previous winners and nominees have created job search resource books for local resource agencies, illustrated and self-published a book to raise awareness about autism, created videos to use as COVID-19 educational resources, distributed “Blessing Bags” for area homeless, co-founded a service club that provides social opportunities for the elderly, donated and sewed masks for frontline health workers and more.

Nominations are due by March 31, 2022.
