FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Online registration will open separately for both conferences.

Middle School TEENPOWER registration will open on February 15, 2023 at 6pm and close April 21, 2023.

High School TEENPOWER registration will open on February 22, 2023 at 6pm and close April 21, 2023.

Please visit www.youth-resources.org and select the TEENPOWER web page for the online registration link. If you are registering multiple students for the same conference, you will conveniently be able to register up to three students under one email address.

TEENPOWER is open to students in the southwest Indiana region. Middle School TEENPOWER is designed for students entering grades 7 or 8 in the fall. High School TEENPOWER is designed for students entering grades 9-12 in the fall.
Youth Resources uses a tiered payment structure for both TEENPOWER conferences. Our hope is to make TEENPOWER as affordable as possible for families. The three options are based on an honor system by which we trust each family to choose the rate they are able to pay. When you register for TEENPOWER, you will have the option to choose Rate A, B or C. If you need additional assistance, we are happy to help. Please review and complete a Scooter Scholarship application. All payments are due by May 1, 2023.

High School TEENPOWER 2023

Rate A – $525
Rate B – $500
Rate C – $450

Middle School TEENPOWER 2023

Rate A – $425
Rate B – $400
Rate C – $350

Registered participants will receive a confirmation email upon completing their online registration, but this does not guarantee a spot at TEENPOWER. Registration fills up quickly for both conferences and wait lists are extensive. In the event that you are placed on a waiting list, you will be notified via email of your status within five business days.

A packet of detailed conference information will be mailed in late April/early May. Make sure to mark your calendars and get ready for a life-changing experience!

Yes, students registered for TEENPOWER must be present for the entire event, including overnight.

Please note that it is Youth Resources’ policy that “No participant may leave the campus for any reason during TEENPOWER except for family emergency as approved by the TEENPOWER Coordinator.” There are no exceptions to this policy.

If a participant cannot arrive to High School TEENPOWER by 6pm on Sunday, June 4, or has to leave before 7pm on Wednesday, June 7, they are ineligible to participate in the conference.

If a participant is not able to arrive at Middle School TEENPOWER by 12pm on Monday, June 26, or has to leave before 4pm on Wednesday, June 28, they are ineligible to participate in the conference.

If you will no longer be able to attend TEENPOWER, please notify us as soon as possible so we can accommodate someone on the waiting list. If you have any questions, please call Youth Resources at 812-421-0030 or email bailey@youth-resources.org.

Both Middle and High School TEENPOWER will be held at the University of Evansville and participants will be housed in Moore Hall and Schroeder Hall. Linens are not provided in the dorms. Participants will need to bring their own towels and a sleeping bag or sheet and blanket.

As we continue to develop our Covid-19 safety plan, we will be updating our roommate policies for both High School and Middle School TEENPOWER. We will release that information as it is finalized.

Each student will receive a Things To Bring List with their participant packet mailed out in late April/early May. Cell phones are allowed at TEENPOWER, but should only be used during free time and before lights out. They will be confiscated and returned at the end of the week if used at inappropriate times. For snacks, there are vending machines located in the dorms, and your child is welcome to bring their own snacks.
Dress comfortably. We will be very active during TEENPOWER! Complete guidelines will be included in mailed participant packets. The following attire is not permitted at TEENPOWER at any time: strapless/tube tops, spaghetti straps, bare midriffs, exposure of undergarments, short shorts or skirts, excessively tight clothing, and clothing with profane or offensive language or graphics.
Yes, University of Evansville is extremely helpful in accommodating participants with dietary restrictions. Please email bailey@youth-resources.org for more information or to discuss further.
You will be asked to provide information about your child’s prescription medication when you receive your participant packet. TEENPOWER staff will store and dispense all non-emergency prescription medication.
Please contact YR as quickly as possible if you are unable to attend. The final deadline for cancellations is May 1, 2023. Any cancellations on or before that date will be refunded fully (after deducting a $50 cancellation fee). Any cancellation made from May 2, 2023-May 19, 2023 will be refunded (after deducting a $100 cancellation fee). Any cancellations made after May 19, 2023 cannot be refunded. Due to facility use and conference contracts, refunds cannot be guaranteed.

We understand that student exposure to Covid-19 prior to the start of TEENPOWER is a possibility. We will give specific detail to registered families about our expectation for a period of quarantine prior to TEENPOWER to avoid that scenario. Partial refunds may be given in this scenario but cannot be guaranteed.

Past participants have stated that these camps are “life altering experiences” and “there is nothing else like this available” to them. They will leave TEENPOWER with developed leadership skills, new friends, improved drug resistance skills, and most of all- they will leave TEENPOWER exhausted! They will be ready to catch up on sleep, and then soon asking to hang out with their new TEENPOWER friends! Rest assured, we will have a safe, productive, fun and terrific week with your children.
